urban decay haul

now i know i am a little slow on the up take with the naked palette adoring but i finally caved when i received my tax rebate from the tax man and purchased the urban decay naked 2 palette. initially i was shocked at the price, for me it was very expensive, hence having to wait until i had money i didn't know i was going to have to go and purchase it. however after opening it and trying it out i am in love and can totally justify paying around $50 for 12 eyeshadows.

the colours are so pigmented that a little goes a long way and even though it is described as a neutral palette i can see myself wearing the colours day to day (suspect, verve and tease) and for nights out (ydk, busted and pistol). i was also pleasantly surprised when half baked was in the palette, this was the first colour i bought from urban decay years ago, i used to wear it all the time, having it back made me a little nostalgic. there is a nice mix of matte and shimmer colours in the palette and personally being a shimmer girl i love that there are just 2 matte colours with 10 shimmer eyeshadows. usually i don't like using the brushes that come with palettes as i normally find their bristles to be very harsh but again i was pleasantly surprised as this palette has a lovely soft brush that smudges the colours really well. the look of the box is lovely too, after having seen both the naked palette and the naked palette too i must say i prefer this one as it a lot sleeker and being metal any loose powder can be cleaned off easily whereas the velvet package of the naked palette i can imagine being very hard to look good as new again.

this lovely little lipgloss was an extra in the naked palette set, where the original naked palette has a sample of the urban decay eyeshadow primer potion. i love this lipgloss, the colour is a lovely pink with a hint of glitter. it claims to cool and plump which it certainly does. i can feel my lips tingling as soon as i put it on. it also smells amazing, for a freebie i was really impressed.

this little find i picked up in nordstorm rack. the urban decay eyeshadow primer potion retails at around $18 however i managed to snap this one up for just under $9! i do love a bargain. i have used the eyeshadow primer potion for years and love it however when i got home i realised this one has a little twist. this one is called greed and when i opened it found that it had added shimmer, which as i have already mentioned as a shimmer girl at heart i loved.
