its all about technique

you may have guessed by now that i love a good recommendation from the blogging world. heard fab things about the naked palette, had to try it, heard even better things about origins again had to try it. so whats the latest one? real technique brushes by samantha chapman.

i think every single beauty blogger has tried these and if they haven't they are wanting to/planning to. i popped into ulta the other day and saw that the sets of real technique brushes were on buy one get one half price. the brushes individually are around the $10 mark, with some of the larger ones being abit more, but here the sets of three or four brushes were only $18!! as soon as i saw the price i new i had to try them :) so i left with the core collection (made up of the buffing, contour, pointed foundation and detailer brushes) and the travel essentials (made up of the multi task, essential foundation and domed shadow brushes)

lets just say i am loving them!! i heard the other week that the better quality brushes you use the longer your make up lasts and the better it applies and i must say i agree with that statement. i have found applying eyeshadow so much easier with the domed brush and creating a smokey eye is effortless, needing to only move the brush slightly as it does all the smudging work for you. the buffing brush is honestly the best thing since sliced bread, my foundation goes on so easily and blends to look like i hardly have anything on while still adding coverage where i need it. i am seriously considering buying the starter kit with 5 eyeshadow brushes in it or investing in some mac brushes if this is the effect spending a little more money on good quality brushes has :)

today i'm linking up with danielle from framed frosting and britt over at yellow umbrella for current crush thursdays :D
